Job Description:

The role of a Check-Out Associate entails handling payments from customers in a high-demand work environment. At Domino's, cashiers are responsible for managing all monetary transactions by handling orders and processing payments. They additionally ensure effective communication between the restaurant's customers, kitchen staff, and upper management, while maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of the front-of-house area.

In addition to processing orders, cashiers are responsible for accurately counting and handling cash and making change for customers:

• Every patron is greeted with a courteous welcome by the restaurant team, regardless of their mode of arrival - be it walking in, calling or driving through.
• Records customer orders with great attention to detail at the counter, on the phone, and through the drive-thru.
• The Pulse system, an efficient tool for processing orders and ensuring their timely preparation.
• The timely delivery of prepared orders to customers is closely watched.
• Assists in expediting the order process, ensuring that all sides and additional items are accounted for.
• Provide customers with information about sales and promotions that may be available in-store, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of extra savings.
• Receives payments from clients and supplies correct balance.
• Conducts the validation of transactions made with credit and debit cards.
• An individual is accountable for keeping a record of cash transactions and affirming that the cash drawer is reconciled by the end of their shift.
• A drop box mechanism used to preserve the till's cash balance below $75.
• Receives and resolves customer feedback, recommendations, and concerns.
• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front counter by keeping it well-stocked and organized.
• Ensures that the box hutch and other relevant storage areas are kept clean and fully stocked.
• The dining area remains tidy by wiping down tables and booth seats, sweeping and disposing of waste.
• Regular floor sweeping and mopping are conducted; additional mopping is carried out when necessary or upon the closure of the lobby.
• The front door and lobby windows are subjected to a thorough cleaning to get rid of smudges and grime.
• Replenishes the dining area's supplies by stocking up on napkins, straws, lids, Parmesan/Red Pepper shakers, and other essentials.
• Ensures that the outside of the soda vending unit remains spotless throughout the shift.
• Replenishes and sanitizes all cooling units for Coke products.
• Keeps both public and employee restrooms sanitized and well-stocked all through the day and before leaving.
• Provides help in cooking and other kitchen duties when needed, but not necessarily the main responsibility.

Customer service skills can also come in handy as you welcome customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve their complaints.

Work Environment:

Employees at Domino's are expected to be well-versed in making pizza, which can require long periods of standing. Handling pizza ingredients and operating equipment in a fast-paced environment can also be strenuous on the back, resulting in discomfort over time. The workplace temperature is high due to constant exposure to the oven, which can cause exhaustion and dehydration.
