Job Description:

The Domino's franchise requires a Cashier with the ability to handle monetary transactions in a fast-paced work setting. Essential qualities for this role include amiable interpersonal skills, being tech-savvy, having resourceful problem-solving skills, and having a natural talent for delivering excellent customer service. Candidates for this role should be efficient multitaskers, capable of remaining composed while under pressure.

At Domino's, the responsibilities of a cashier include processing all monetary transactions related to order-taking and payment processing. They also serve as a conduit between the customers, management, and kitchen staff, while maintaining the cleanliness and proper inventory display of the front-of-the-house area.

Cashiers must maintain a professional demeanor at all times, even during busy or stressful periods:

• Customers are met with warm and friendly greeting by the restaurant team, irrespective of whether they arrive by walking in, calling or using the drive-through facilities.
• Precisely documents customer orders in an efficient manner, at the counter, through the phone or at the drive-thru.
• The Pulse system eliminates order processing delays and ensures prompt preparation.
• The efficient delivery of prepared orders to customers is carefully monitored.
• Effectively manages orders by including all sides and extras in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Encourage customers to consider any relevant in-store promotions when making a purchase, taking advantage of any additional value that may be available.
• Acquires money from consumers and accurately provides the necessary change.
• Coordinates the execution of credit and debit card authorizations.
• An employee must maintain accurate records of cash transactions and confirm that the cash drawer is balanced at the termination of their work shift.
• Preventing the till's cash balance from going over $75 is achieved by utilizing a drop box process.
• Serves as a liaison between the customer and the company, addressing feedback, complaints, and suggestions.
• Ensures the front counter remains presentable at all times by consistently keeping it well-stocked, organized, and tidy.
• Ensures that the box hutch and other designated box areas are always organized and well-supplied.
• The dining zone is maintained in a pristine condition by regularly wiping, sweeping and taking away the trash from tables and booths.
• The floor is persistently swept and mopped, either following a request or after the lobby has been closed for the day.
• A systematic cleaning process is implemented to get rid of any dirty spots and fingerprints on the front door and lobby windows.
• The assistance works meticulously to ensure that napkins, straws, lids, Parmesan/Red Pepper shakers, and other essentials are always available in the dining area.
• Is responsible for ensuring the outside of the soda dispenser is clean and polished during shifts.
• Replenishes and tidies up all Coke cooler cabinets and compartments.
• Cleans and restocks both public and employee washrooms consistently during their shift and before departing.
• Acts as a backup to the main cook and provides help in kitchen tasks when necessary.

Leadership: Leadership involves the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide others to achieve personal and organizational goals. Strong leadership is essential for managing teams, projects, and achieving success:

• Shows competency in understanding and working with numerical information.
• Those working in a food-service role must have the Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate in their possession.

• Demonstrates an adept ability to understand and meet the needs of customers, fostering positive relationships though interpersonal prowess.
• The hallmark of a professional individual lies in their ability to adhere to an established schedule, arrive punctually, dress in an appropriate manner, and execute their work with smart and speedy efforts

Education and Experience:

While it is beneficial to have a high school diploma or equivalent, it is not necessary to work in this position. The position provides training while working, which covers employer-specific functions such as computer system handling and details about menu items. Prior sales experience is an advantage when applying, and previous customer service can be helpful when dealing with customer inquiries and complaints.

Work Environment:

A Checkout Operator serves a large volume of people over every shift, which can be taxing. Standing for long periods of time while placing orders and fielding customer complaints is expected, which may contribute to back strain and foot problems. Because paper money is a large carrier of bacteria and germs, frequent hand sanitization is another expectation. The environment is warm, bustling, and potentially noisy. The environment of a Domino's restaurant is populated by triple stack conveyor belt ovens, multiple warming shelves, and carts on wheels which can lead to injury.
